Graziano Cerutti began his career at the end of the 1970s in the field of chemical products for industrial maintenance and in 1980 founded Grace Chimica which changed its name to Gem Chimica a few years afterwards. The company soon started producing formulated products for water treatment and detergents for the food industry. Over the years, Gem Chimica has added more essential services, especially for the food industry,such as an internal testing laboratory, water treatment, food safety consulting, environmental consulting and a test facility. In 2017 Gem Chimica entered the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, acquiring the Able Biosciences and Forlab laboratories which merged into the newly-created Gem Forlab. Today, more than 50 experts work in both Gem Chimica and Gem Forlab giving assistance and providing services of high professional value.
Biologist, she holds a PhD in “Human biology” followed by a II level Master in “Business and research management”. She is in charge of the coordination of R&D activities and she manages the relationships between scientist teams and sponsors.
In 2002 she implemented the scientific unit at Bioindustry park with the Molecular and Cell biology area.
She studied and researched intensively in molecular and cell biology at the University of Turin. She carried on her doctorate in collaboration with Creabilis Therapeutics S.r.L, a pharmaceutical company settled in Bioindustry park.
She focused her investigations within the drug research and development process in therapeutic areas such as inflammation and rare diseases.
She is now focusing her research on development and validation of novel cell based assays and on biologic drugs R&D and analysis.
Alessandra Giuliano Albo
Veterinary, she holds a PhD in “Animal toxicology and pharmacology” followed by an academic specialty in “Avian technology and pathology” and a II level master in “Medical statistics and statistics methods for epidemiology”. In 2014 she achieved a II level Master in “Quality System: GxP and ISO” at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia – Rome.
In 2004 she joined the Bioindustry park scientific unit as biochemistry analyst and scientific consultant at business development e technology transfer office.
She focused her investigations within the drug research and development process in toxicology and pharmacology and in therapeutic areas such as neurodegeneration.
She is now in charge of the Quality Assurance unit Management of ABLE Biosciences Test facility.
Pharmacist, she holds a degree in pharmaceutical biotechnology and a PhD in Human biology.
She is in charge of the Molecular and Cell Biology and Protein Biochemistry Lab management.
Prior to joining ABLE Biosciences she was researcher at Bionucleon S.r.L, a frontrunner start up concerned in novel nucleic acid-based therapeutic agents.
She studied transcriptional pathways at the University of Turin.She focused her investigations within the drug research and development process in therapeutic areas such as cancer and inflammation.
She is now focusing her research on development and validation of novel cell based assays and on biological drugs R&D.
Chemist, he holds a PhD in Biochemistry.
He is in charge of the Bioanalytics and Proteomics – Mass Spectrometry Lab management.
In 2000 he implemented the scientific unit at Bioindustry Park with the Proteomic area.
He studied and researched intensively in biochemistry at the University of Turin. He is specialized in Mass spectrometry applications for proteins and small molecules detection and quantification in complex matrices.
He focused his investigations within the drug research and development process in therapeutic areas such as neurodegenerative disorders.
He is now focusing his research on biologic drugs R&D and analysis through mass spectrometry in particular with MALDI Imaging technology.
Chemist, she studied and researched intensively in synthesis and purification processes optimization to obtain contrast agents for Diagnostic Imaging.
She gained extensive expertise in synthesis, purification and characterization of metal complexes for MRI contrast agents, in purification and identification of unknown compounds from complex matrixes, conjugation with bioactive compound (phospholipids, fluorescent molecules, PEG, etc.). She is currently holding the office of Organic Synthesis laboratory Senior Scientist.
